Activities, courses and excursions
- The full cost (100%) of the stay is required when booking online.
Specialized training (Paddle Canada, SUP Yoga instructor training)
- We require a deposit of 50% of the cost of the stay, with the balance due 30 days before the start of the course.
KSF Day Camp
- We require a deposit of 50% of the cost of the stay, with the balance due 7 days before the start of the camp.
Visiting school and day camp groups
- To reserve a date, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required. Not applicable to schools and school boards.
Corporate Groups & Organizations
- We require a 50% deposit to reserve the date of your choice.
Cancellations & Changes
At any time for all reservations
- The cancellation policy also applies to any downgrading of an existing reservation, late arrival or uncompleted course.
- No refunds in the event of rain.
- In the event of cancellation by KSF, (water quality or storms) you can be reimbursed or move your course to another available date, free of charge.
Weather policy
- Our team constantly monitors weather forecasts to ensure that activities take place in safe conditions. We take into account forecasts from several sources, as well as monitoring radar maps when there’s a chance of showers or thunderstorms.
- We generally make the decision to maintain or cancel a course no later than 3 hours before the start of an activity. However, we may decide to maintain an activity but have to cancel or stop it at the last minute.
- In the event of cancellation by KSF, you may receive a refund or reschedule your course to another available date, free of charge.
- In the event of a thunderstorm, activity may be halted for a few minutes. The activity will then be extended by a few minutes at the end. If the activity is cancelled after it has started, an arrangement (free rental, partial resumption on another date, or refund) will be offered, depending on the situation.

- It is possible to reschedule your course, activity or excursion to another available date, free of charge.
- If you wish to cancel a booking, there is a charge of 20% of the total applicable cost.
- Less than 7 days before the activity :
- No changes or refunds possible, full payment will be withheld or retained by KSF.
Specialized training (Paddle Canada, SUP Yoga instructor training)
- More than 30 days before the activity:
- Possibility of rescheduling your training to another available date, free of charge.
- In the event of cancellation, a fee of 20% of the total course price will be charged.
- Less than 30 days before training :
- No changes or refunds possible, full payment will be withheld or retained by KSF.
Class sessions (SUP Yoga, SUP Fitness, SUP Club and Kayak Club)
- More than one week (7 days) before the start of the course:
- You can move your course session to another available time slot, free of charge.
- If you wish to cancel the booking, there is a charge of 20% of the total cost.
- Less than 7 days before the start of the course :
- No changes or refunds possible, full payment will be withheld or retained by KSF.
- Missing a class:
- There will be no rescheduling, unless KSF cancels the course.
- If KSF cancels a course, it will be rescheduled for later in the summer, on a date pre-established at the time of booking. If you are unable to attend, you will be offered a refund of a value proportional to the number of courses in the session (e.g. 1/6 of the total cost of the session for a session of 6 courses).
- If you are unable to attend a session, you can arrange to be replaced by another person (friend, family, etc.). However, this person must meet the necessary prerequisites for the activity. You must submit a written notice to this effect to info@cdricl8.sg-host.com at least 24 hours before the start of the activity.
KSF Day Camp
- You can cancel your camp registration under certain conditions. You will only have to pay a penalty if your child has started attending camp.
- To cancel your child’s registration, you must send written notice to KSF at groupes@ksf.ca before the start of camp:
- You can cancel your reservation before the start of camp. As the services have not yet begun, there is no charge or penalty for cancellation. You will receive a full refund.
- During the camp:
- You can cancel your reservation during your stay. In this case, you will be required to pay the cost of services already received, plus a cancellation fee equal to the lesser of $50 or 10% of the cost of services not received.
- An example: your contract calls for a 5-day camp at a rate of $59.80+tx per day. You cancel after 2 days. You will have to pay 2 x $59.80+tx plus a penalty of $17.94+tx, which corresponds to 10% of the cost of the remaining 3 days, for a total of $137.54+tx.
Visiting school and day camp groups
- You have up to 7 days in advance to modify the booking and confirm the number of participants.
- The balance of payment must be completed, at the latest, on the day of the activity and up to 30 days after the activity for schools and school boards.
- Day camp group leaders must pay for the activity if they participate. Not applicable to teachers.
- No refund if booking is downgraded on the same day. Each participant, including companions, must complete a risk acceptance form before going out on the water. All minors must have a parent or guardian sign.

Rentals
At any time for all rentals
- We require government-issued photo identification as a deposit.
- A monetary deposit may be required at KSF’s discretion.
- Day rates are for a maximum of 24 hours.
- Rented equipment may be removed from KSF’s site under certain conditions and at KSF’s discretion.
10-hire cards
- The buyer’s name will be written on the card. Only this person can use the rentals. Cards are non-transferable.
- The 10 SUP rental card (SUP10) is valid for 10 one-hour SUP rentals (including board, paddle, jacket and leash) at LaSalle, Parc Jean-Drapeau AND touring kayaks (including single kayak, paddle and jacket) at LaSalle branches. Two of the 10 rentals can be used during the same visit, so the card buyer can invite a guest for a visit.
- The 10 surf rental card (SURF10) is valid for 10 3-hour surf rentals (including board, jacket, helmet and leash) at the LaSalle branch. Rentals can only be used by the card purchaser. Only one rental at a time (no guests).
- The 10-rental whitewater kayak card (KAYAK10) is valid for 10 3-hour whitewater kayak rentals (including kayak, paddle, jacket and helmet) at the LaSalle branch only. Only one rental at a time (no guests).
SUP (paddleboard) rentals
- All our SUP rentals include board, paddle, floatation jacket and leash.
- It is compulsory to wear a life jacket when using SUP boards rented by KSF.
- We retain the right of refusal on rentals for anyone who has never SUP’d, who has not taken a SUP course or who is not accompanied by a person with SUP experience on KSF sites.
Surf rentals
- All our surf rentals include board, leash, floatation jacket and helmet.
- Helmets and life jackets must be worn when using the surfboards rented by KSF.
- We retain a right of refusal on rentals for anyone who has never river surfed, who has not taken a river surfing course or who is not accompanied by a person with river surfing experience on the waves of Montreal.
Whitewater kayak rentals
- All our whitewater kayak rentals include kayak and paddle. Fully-equipped rentals also include helmet, skirt and flotation jacket.
- Helmets and life jackets must be worn when using whitewater kayaks rented by KSF.
- We retain the right of refusal on rentals for anyone who has never whitewater kayaked, who has not taken a whitewater kayaking course or who is not accompanied by a person with experience in whitewater kayaking on the waves of Montreal.
Kayak rentals
- All our touring kayak rentals include kayak and paddle.
- It is compulsory to wear a life jacket when using the touring kayaks rented by KSF.
- We retain the right of refusal on rentals for anyone who has never gone kayaking before, who has not participated in a kayaking tour before, or who is not accompanied by someone with kayaking experience.
